Beaufort Park


9.12 kWp Solar PV system installed across multiple properties in Kent.

Following installation of solar PV on the previous phases at the development of Beaufort Park. Ecolution worked alongside main housing contractors to complete installations for two apartment blocks, with 9 apartments in each on phase 6 of the development comprising of a total of 28 houses and 23 apartments, to achieve level 3 of the code for sustainable homes.

Photovoltaic systems, one of 4.32kwp and a second of 4.80kwp used Hanwha 240w polycrystalline modules were required, both systems were designed to be installed on the optimum south west facing pitched, tiled roofs to achieve the highest generation possible. Hanwha had been installed on previous phases and Ecolution were conscious to source the same product to ensure continuity through the whole site. Passiv meters were installed for each block to allow the end client to monitor the performance of the photovoltaics, Cottsway Housing Association will benefit from the income generated by the feed in tariff and the systems will feed back to the landlord supply enabling the residents living in the apartments to benefit from an energy saving for the communal electrical systems.

Solar PV was selected over a solar thermal system after consultation with Cottsway Housing Association regarding room sizes and mainte¬nance concerns. We are delighted to have been able to help our cli¬ent achieve level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. We liaised closely with the SAP assessor to ensure all code requirements were met.
