45.90 kWp Solar PV system installed across multiple houses in Buckinghamshire.
Ecolution installed a total of 45.90 kWp solar photovoltaic output across multiple houses, in the picturesque village of Little Chalfont in Buckinghamshire.
This award winning developer created luxury new one and 2 bedroom apartments and 4 to 6 bedroom houses, designed to offer the pleasures of country living, surrounded by a remarkable landscape. The architecture is designed to reflect the surrounding area by incorporating Georgian bar windows along with gated entrances to the front gardens of the houses. These traditional characteristics eco a strong sense of place that fits effortlessly with its neighbouring villages.
These high end, new build developments demonstrate that properties can incorporate environmentally friendly features without compromising of the athletics of the properties. These homes integrate everything from solar PV, energy efficient lighting and glazing, high efficiency boilers, insulated walls and even A-rated appliances throughout.
Ecolution won the contract at Little Chalfont, were we designed, supplied and installed all of the solar PV requirements for the new build homes. We designed a variety of systems for various roof types using a range of high quality products to best suit each type of building. Throughout we used high efficiency LG 270w monocrystalline all-black panels to ensure the aesthetic look of the properties and efficiency of the renewable systems were not compromised. For the houses we used an in-roof framing system allowing the panels to blend into the roof, whilst the apartment blocks used a flat roof mounting system to maximise the otherwise wasted roof space.
The solar PV systems are not only helping this residential community reduce their carbon footprint and helping to tackle climate change, it is also an affordable home for the future. The solar PV means residents are able to use the free electricity generated during day light hours which in turn reduces their energy bills for years to come.
The solar photovoltaic systems at Little Chalfont are now producing collectively 39,015 kWh of free electricity per year and have C0₂ savings of 20,638.94 kg per annum, for the residents.
