Solar PV installation for new build properties

Established in 1999, Ecolution have extensive experience installing solar photovoltaic within the new build housing and commercial market, working with many of the major developers, contractors and housing associations across the UK. Our clients include Taylor Wimpey, Galliford Try, Bellway Homes, Mace and Barratt Homes.

We specialise in the installation of renewable technologies including; solar photovoltaic (PV), solar hot water (solar thermal), energy storage and air source heat pumps (ASHP) across new build houses, apartment blocks, commercial properties and even carports. Our renewable installations make a difference for both the developer and the end user as they are all MCS accredited, allowing you to claim the relevant incentive or feed-in tariff.

Our renewable solutions help new build developments to fulfil strict targets and regulations for the Building Regulations Part L, Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and site CO2 targets like the London Plan. Our in-house design service can compare renewable technologies from both a commercial and technical point of view and give an independent feasibility study on the best way to meet your site energy or CO2 target.

Why choose Ecolution for your new build solar PV installation?

On all our new build renewable energy installations we will work together with you from initial site assessments to design and planning, installation, testing and commissioning, as well as a complete operations and maintenance handover including comprehensive manuals for each property. We run through this handover process with both your site teams and the end users to ensure no stone is left unturned.

We understand the complex health and safety requirements of building sites; Ecolution are CHAS and SMAS accredited and all of our installers carry the relevant CSCS card.

Aftercare for new build renewable installations

Once the installation is complete we hand over to our maintenance division who handle the maintenance for all the renewable systems we install. We supply all end users with our contact details to the Energy Services team who will arrange visits and repairs directly with the end user.

We supply full details and contact information in the O&M manual for the end users if they wish to continue with a maintenance programme at the end of the standard warranty period.

We feel that the aftercare service is just as important as the installation to ensure the renewable systems continue to work for years to come and even prolong the lifetime of the systems in some cases.

Solar PV remote monitoring & maintenance

Ecolution also provide solar PV remote monitoring for new build solar PV installations. If we installed the solar PV system, we may have already fitted it with a smart generation meter (depending on specification). If the system owner is signed up to our aftercare package, this would provide us remote access to half-hourly generation data and diagnostic information. This means any system performance issues that would otherwise go unnoticed are immediately flagged to us so we can proactively rectify these, minimising any losses for your client.

Each of our clients receives access to their own bespoke portal where they can see live data of system performance and savings.

Each quarter we will send a summary report of the systems performance including savings and Feed-in Tariff (FIT) income.

End users no longer have to deal with the hassle of meter readings for the solar PV system affecting their working day, with our smart metering solutions Ecolution can take remote meter readings and automatically submit these to the utility provider throughout the year.
